Revised Uniform Guidance Discussion:
A Town Hall Meeting for Grants Professionals

On August 13th, OMB issued a final guidance to revise the Uniform Guidance (2 C.F.R. Part 200), as well as other regulations under Title 2. These new revisions are effective for new awards or modifications to existing awards as of November 12th. There are numerous changes within the guidance that will affect all stakeholders in the grants lifecycle, from awarding agencies to recipients to auditors. Like so many others, you may be assessing these changes to determine what impact they will have on your future awards and your existing processes and procedures. The goal of this event is to bring together a much larger peer network to share how others are tackling these same issues.

During this one-day town hall, you’ll have the chance to ask industry experts and grant professional peers the questions you’ve been asking yourself like:

“What can entities expect going forward when applying for awards? How could the new program design provision affect the performance of grants?”

“What are the new micro-purchase/simplified acquisition thresholds in the FAR and how will those thresholds benefit grantees? What new responsibilities do grantees have in determining thresholds?”

“How will grantees react to the expansion of the 10% de minimis indirect cost rate option? Is OMB’s addition of a provision requiring publication of negotiated indirect costs rates acceptable? How will the extension of the closeout reporting period affect recipients?”

“How do we monitor our subrecipients when we can’t perform on-site visits?” “How should we prepare to be monitored or audited if our staff is working from home?”

“What caused OMB to back off its governmentwide single audit quality initiative starting in 2021? How did OMB address pass-through responsibilities that pertain to single audits? What led to OMB’s full-scale update of the term “improper payments” in the revised guidance?”
